You Are The Sum Of Who You Surround Yourself With

Updated: Apr 17, 2023

Stay away from STILL people. Still broke, still complaining, still hating, still nowhere.

It got me thinking...

There are two types of people in this world: those who are moving and shaking, and those who are still. And let's face it, nobody wants to be stuck in the stillness. Still people are still broke, still complaining, still hating, and still nowhere. And who has time for that?

It's time to surround ourselves with people who are moving and shaking, who are making moves, and who are living life to the fullest. Because when you surround yourself with people who are on the same path as you, it's easier to stay on track and achieve your goals.

It's no secret that the people we spend time with can have a significant impact on our lives. Our friends, family, and colleagues can influence our attitudes, behaviours, and even our sense of self. That's why it's important to choose our relationships wisely, and surround ourselves with people who uplift and inspire us.

But does this mean that we are solely defined by the people around us? I would argue that the answer is more complex than a simple yes or no. While the people in our lives can certainly shape us in many ways, we also have the power to shape our own lives through our choices and actions.

As humans, we are social beings, and our relationships with others play a significant role in shaping who we are. The people we choose to surround ourselves with have a significant impact on our lives, our attitudes, and our actions. When we surround ourselves with positive, supportive, and driven individuals, we are more likely to adopt their positive traits and habits. We are inspired by their successes, motivated by their drive, and encouraged by their support. Being around such people can help us grow and become better versions of ourselves. On the other hand, when we surround ourselves with negative, toxic, and unmotivated individuals, we can easily adopt their negative traits and behaviours. We may find ourselves becoming complacent, unproductive, and disinterested in pursuing our goals. Being around such people can hold us back and limit our potential. It's essential to be mindful of the people we choose to surround ourselves with. We should seek out individuals who inspire us, challenge us, and encourage us to grow. These individuals can be mentors, friends, family members, or even colleagues. By surrounding ourselves with positive influences, we can increase our chances of success and happiness. However, it's not always easy to cut ties with negative individuals in our lives, especially if they are family members or long-time friends. In such situations, it's important to set boundaries and limit our exposure to their negativity. We can choose to focus on the positive aspects of our relationship with them and avoid getting caught up in their negative energy. A kind reminder: please leave the clowns at the circus....
